Designed to provide complete comfort, the upper of the Altra Torin 4.5 Plush Running Shoes have been constructed using a breathable knit. The knitted upper, specifically designed to adapt to your foots movement without sacrificing performance. The knitted upper is comfortable, breathable, and lightweight, encompassing all the essential elements to create a smooth, distraction free run. Not only does the knit upper work to provide a contemporary look and superior comfort but, it also work to increase ventilation to keep you cool. The knitted construction allows air to flow throughout the construction to reduce and uncomfortable heat build-up; this creates a perfect micro-climate for your feet to thrive in. The shoe uses a traditional lacing system which will make it easy to achieve a secure and comfortable fit. The upper uses Altra's developed technology Footshape. This will allow the feet and the toes to naturally splay in a wide toe box. By having more space, this will allow the foot to relax and spread out, working to reduce over-pronation, enhance stability and creating a far more powerful toe-off.
The Torin 4.5 plush uses Altra's innovative Quantic midsole. This new technology provides you with a perfect blend of soft cushioning and extreme responsiveness all whilst being extremely lightweight. Towards the top of the midsole, the Quantic material is extremely soft, which will mean that when facing impact from the feet it will gently cushion them. Further down, the material is firmer which will mean that all impacts will be absorbed instantly and effectively. The energy absorbed and created from other motion will be transferred into rebound, providing you with an extremely responsive ride. Within the midsole, Altra have used their Innerflex technology. These are grid-like grooves inserted in the midsole, which will allow your feet to flex without causing any damage to the shoe.
