The technical Paratex Micro and Paratex Light outer and inner layers provide windproofing and water resistance but also perspiration is allowed to escape to help keep you drier and therefore more comfortable during energetic excursions.
Despite the light weight of the Snugpak Venture Unisex Insulated Softie AR Smock, the Softie Premier insulating fill helps keep you warm, retaining its warmth even when wet.
A large outer pocket, with a hook-and-loop security tab and a functional D-ring, on the front of the central chest pocket is large enough for an A6 folded map or a notebook and pen/pencil or a smartphone in a waterproof case or a compact digital camera, for example. The smaller outer pocket also has a hook-and-loop security tab and it is ideal for such uses as keeping your compass close to hand or for securing smaller energy gels, pens, pencils etc when on the move.
The Snugpak Venture Unisex Insulated Softie Adventure Racing Smock is great for use within a layering system with a baselayer and/or a waterproof top layer, for example so that you can be fully protected when necessary but able to remove layers as conditions improve.
